Understanding the Bible teacher’s role as a conduit begins with a definition of the word that clearly shows how biblical it is for communicators of God’s Word to be conduits.
What is a Conduit and How Does a Bible Teacher Take on that Role?
A conduit is simply a channel
through which something flows.
We can form an outline for what that means for Bible teachers from 1 Corinthians 2:4-5.
My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power, so that your faith might not rest on men’s wisdom, but on God’s power.
As Bible teachers we take on the role of a conduit when we do the following:
- Make sure it is His message flowing through us, not our own perceptions.
- Make sure it is His means flowing through us, not our own persuasiveness.
- Make sure it is His might flowing through us, not our own power.
Then the results do not come from us but flow from His power at work in and through us, not our own performance.

I love the explanation
What great information to partner with the revelation God gave me.
So glad it’s been beneficial. It truly is about what God does through us.
