God wants us to be good stewards of what He’s given<\/a> but if we want students to be willing and cheerful givers, we’ve got to get beyond mere stewardship. They need to understand other biblical concepts about giving.<\/p>\n

What Students Need to Understand to Become Givers that Please God<\/h2>\n

Two chapters in the New Testament, 2 Corinthians 8-9, provide some insight into what tends to motivate people to be the kind of givers pleasing to God. You would do well to read those chapters.<\/p>\n

The biblical concepts on giving from those chapters are in an acrostic using the word ‘giver’ in the Sowing Good into Our Lives Discipleship Acrostics<\/strong><\/a> tool which teachers can use with their students to teach what God looks for in our giving.<\/p>\n
