Bible Teachers have a God-given Responsibility to Equip People<\/h2>\n

So Christ himself gave … pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. (Eph. 4:11-13)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

How Bible Teachers Fulfill Their Role as Equippers<\/h2>\n

\"BibleA look at the original word for “equip” in Ephesians 4:12 will help Bible teachers understand how to equip their students. The Greek word “katartismos” comes from the same word in Matthew 4:21 and Mark 1:19, katartizo<\/em>, used of fishermen mending or preparing their nets. There were at least four ways they would tend to their nets:<\/p>\n

repairing<\/a>
\nreinforcing<\/a>
\nreadying<\/a>
\nreadjusting<\/a><\/p>\n
