Kids seem to love puppets so isn\u2019t it good to always use them as the teaching method?<\/p>\n

While children, and even adults, do tend to enjoy puppets, any teaching method, including puppets, can become less effective as a teaching tool if used excessively or exclusively. Teachers must be careful not to use them as a crutch, primarily communicating through the puppets instead of personally interacting with students. Puppets are not the teacher. And, we must guard against using puppets as a substitute for a more strategic or purposeful methodology. Learning is the goal, not entertainment.<\/p>\n
