Perhaps you started out feeling that way but along the way lost some of the excitement. You may need to rediscover the joy of teaching<\/a>. You can do that by revisiting the “ultimates” in Bible teaching.<\/p>\n

Words like unequalled, unparalleled, unsurpassed, unrivaled, and unmatched define the way this post uses the word “ultimate”. The Merriam-Webster Dictionary puts it this way: “the best or most extreme of its kind” – “of the greatest or highest degree or quantity”<\/p>\n

What are the “Ultimates” in Bible Teaching?<\/h2>\n

When we’re referring to the “ultimates” in Bible teaching, we’re pointing to ways Bible teaching surpasses all else. Grasp that and you’ll find joy in teaching even when facing difficulties in it. Remember these points and teaching God’s Word will never grow old for you, no matter how long you’ve been teaching.<\/p>\n

1) Ultimate Text<\/a><\/p>\n

All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful … (2 Tim. 3:16-17)<\/em><\/p>\n

2) Ultimate Goal<\/a><\/p>\n

I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ and be found in him \u2026\u201d (Phil. 3:8-9)<\/em><\/p>\n

3) Ultimate Motivation<\/a><\/p>\n

For Christ’s love compels us … (2 Cor. 5:14)<\/em><\/p>\n

4) Ultimate Source<\/a><\/p>\n

His divine power has given us everything we need … (2 Pet. 1:3)<\/em><\/p>\n

5) Ultimate Teacher<\/a><\/p>\n

This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, explaining spiritual realities with Spirit-taught words. (1 Cor. 2:13)<\/em><\/p>\n

6) Ultimate Results<\/a><\/p>\n

You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness. (Eph<\/em>. 4:22-24)<\/p>\n
