Knowing about God is only the starting point.\u00a0 Gradeschoolers<\/a> must believe these realities in their heart if they are going to trust God to help them as they walk the school halls, listen to their teachers, ride on the bus, recess in the playground, etc.<\/p>\n

What Gradeschoolers Need to Feel in Their Hearts<\/h2>\n

Here are three things they need to “feel” in their heart if what they “know” is going to make a difference:<\/p>\n

1)\u00a0 God is real.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

They can be told about God all their lives but until they develop personal convictions in the depth of their heart, they will not pull on the resources He provides.\u00a0 Nor will they take a stand against false teachings presented in schools on the origin of life, etc.<\/p>\n

2)\u00a0 God is relevant.<\/p>\n

They can learn Bible stories and remain unchanged unless they sense in their hearts that this same God who empowered Moses, Daniel, David, the Apostle Paul, and others is able to help them today.<\/p>\n

3)\u00a0 God is reliable.<\/p>\n

They can know all sorts of truths but if they don’t sense in their heart that God is for them and will keep His promises, they will not lean in on Him when the bullies surface or school violence happens or they lose a friend, etc.<\/p>\n

When grade school students not only know about God but have developed a personal relationship with Him, believing in their hearts that He is who He says He is, they will be ready to “do” something that reflects that understanding.\u00a0 The next post will look at 3 things gradeschoolers need to do<\/a>.<\/p>\n
