Bible teachers might dread the thought of teaching the Book of Revelation. Yet, God intends blessing from this book:<\/p>\n

Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near. (Rev. 1:3)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Notice that this verse does not say, “Blessed is the one who fully understands the words of this prophecy.”<\/p>\n

If we focus on what we can understand, it should build within us a faith that we can trust God for the rest. We can be okay knowing that we have a faithful, sovereign God who is all-knowing and all-powerful to bring all this into reality. \u00a0If teachers pass on this understanding, they have done well in teaching Revelation. Content in Revelation<\/h2>\n

Revelation contains basically three sections John was to write about (Rev. 1:19):<\/p>\n

what he saw (Rev. 1)
\nwhat was current (Rev. 2-3)
\nwhat would happen in the future (Rev. 4-22)<\/p>\n

When teaching the book of Revelation, remember these two points:<\/p>\n

The Book describes itself as a revelation of Jesus Christ (Rev. 1:1).<\/p>\n

Revelation primarily deals with post-Church.<\/p>\n
