At the start of a new year, think about the renewal<\/a> your Bible teachers might need to experience anew in order to become better teachers.<\/p>\n

New life<\/h2>\n

I’m not talking about salvation as prayerfully you’ve recruited teachers who have a personal relationship with God through Jesus. I’m talking about teachers who feel worn out, like they have no more to give. They need to be refreshed by the Lord’s power.<\/p>\n

but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. (Isa. 40:31)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

New perspective<\/h2>\n

Maybe some of your teachers are simply doing their duty by teaching because there was a need. Others could view lesson preparation as a drudgery. Some might have shifted into the role of a mere disciplinarian maintaining crowd control. They need to revisit their reason for teaching and line up with God’s objective so they can move forward with the right motivation\u00a0in their hearts which in itself makes such a difference.<\/p>\n

Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. (Ps. 51:10)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

New ideas<\/h2>\n

Bible teachers can find themselves in ruts, teaching the way they always have even if it is not the most effective means of reaching their students. They need their creativity recharged by remembering that they were created in the image of a creative God.<\/p>\n

and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator. (Col. 3:10)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Pray for your Bible teachers, each individually, perhaps using the above Scripture that fits their need for renewal. Think through how you can encourage them accordingly.<\/p>\n
