Why Adequate Bible Lesson Preparation is Important<\/h2>\n

Here are three reasons to spend adequate time<\/a> in preparing a lesson:<\/p>\n

  1. God’s servants are commanded to do their best … it’s an obedience issue<\/em>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    “Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.”\u00a0 (2 Tim. 2:15)<\/em><\/p>\n

    1. God’s Word is the teacher’s source of authority and power tool for changed lives … Bible lesson preparation is a matter of commonsense in light of what you are teaching<\/em>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.” (2 Tim. 3:16-17)<\/em><\/p>\n

      1. God’s expectations are great for teachers … it’s about being accountable with what God has entrusted you<\/em>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        “Not many of you should presume to be teachers, my brothers, because you know that we who teach will be judged more strictly.” (James 3:1)<\/em><\/p>\n
