Teachers who view God as the One who truly meets needs, view themselves as conduits through whom His Spirit works. They are not the Source for change and growth in their students’ live but rather God. Consequently, they depend on God to work both in and through them.
for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose. (Phil. 2:13)
- Pray that teachers see themselves as conduits of God’s grace and truth.
- Pray that teachers understand the role of the Holy Spirit in helping students understand truth.
- Pray that teachers depend on God as the real force behind changed lives (1 Cor. 3:6-7).

The theme for the month begins with the letter of that month to make it easier to remember how to pray that month even without the guide in hand. For example, the D in December can stand for Dependence on God, which is what teachers need to be effective.
I was really surprised with the Lord when he did give me one word a conduit and I had to look up the Lord wanted me to get a message ready didn’t know that it was for me. That the Holy Spirit is our teacher and how we as Christians need to rely on Him and 1st Cor 2:4-5 says its God’s power not men that we need to rely on. So we need to be careful on teaching the word of God and pray that the baby Christians will learn. I am doing children’s church right now but I really think he wants me to teach adults.
Yes, Lisa, we need God’s power working through us to make an eternal difference … whether teaching children or adults. I will take time to pray for you in regard to the possibility of teaching adults. May He direct you and open doors before you to do His will.
