Who Can Your Church Get to Do Teacher Training Seminars?

Teacher Training Seminar

Perhaps you want to do some group training but don’t know where to find someone to do Bible teacher training seminars or workshops.

Ideas for Where you Might Find Someone Qualified to Do a Teacher Training Seminar

Here are some questions to ask yourself that could lead to possible sources:

  1. Do you have any Bible colleges or seminaries close enough that one of their professors could come to do some training?
  2. Do you use a specific curriculum?  Often curriculum companies have representatives who are able to travel to your location to do a seminar.
  3. What kinds of ministry organizations are within a 100 or so mile radius of you that might be able to send someone?  (You can broaden that radius if your budget will permit you to provide travel and lodging expenses in addition to speaking fees.)
  4. Do you know of ministry leaders in other churches who seem to have a good handle on the topic you would like to cover whom you could invite?

If you still can’t find someone, remember that there are other ways to train teachers than in-house group training events.

This content is included in the Teacher Training Module, part of the Christian Education Files resource, which looks at group training both in-house and at another location. It also gives input on 21 other means of training Bible teachers. (The Teacher Training Module can be purchased separately.)
