In a Teacher Training Rut? – Use Worksheets

Share:

Similar to workbooks, but shorter in length, a worksheet provides some content and then asks questions and/or contains a practice exercise relevant to that content.  Worksheets can be from about 1-10 pages.  They are therefore a good alternative for busy or undisciplined teachers who might struggle to complete a workbook.

Worksheets generally focus in on one aspect of a broader topic.  They are a cost-effective way to zero in and tailor teacher training to specific teacher needs.

Worksheets are versatile in that they can be worked on individually or in small groups. The Teacher Training Module included in the Christian Education Files resource provides some suggestions for using worksheets in each of those settings. This resource looks at 22 other means of training. (The Teacher Training Module can be purchased separately.)
