Relationship Building in the Classroom

Share:

Relationship building in the classroom is very important because we have a relational God as seen in:

  • His triune nature
  • His creation of relational beings
  • His efforts to reconcile people to Himself through salvation
  • His desire for people to be in on-going fellowship with Himself
  • His design of the Church as a body whose members function interdependently as a community
  • His preparation of heaven as a place to be with Him and those who love Him

If Bible teachers are going to help students live in accordance with God and His ways then they must teach about and model healthy relationships.  They must make a purposeful effort to structure their lessons to help build relationships between …

the students and God
the teacher and students
the students with other students

Do your Bible teachers know how to build and nurture these relationships?  — A worksheet by Ministry Tools Resource center will help them look at how their classroom practices will either block or promote community.
